The Silkroad was a world famous trade route that connects China and Europe by passing through Anatolia and Mediterranean. The Silkroad was not only a trade route but also it was a social line introducing Eastern philosophy, culture, technique and wisdom to Europe by the Silkroad. The spices coming Far East played a big role in international relations for West. Carrying the silk and spices of Eastern world to West by caravans, gave birth to trade routes from China to Europe. Besides the Silkroad being a trade route used throughout the history, it became a path of ideas, religions, armies or different cultures, and scholars and travelers that convey these cultural experiences.
With the 4rd International Symposium of Silkroad Academic Studies that will be held in Nevsehir, which is on the historical route of Silkroad, it is aimed at examining the Silkroad and destinations on Silkroad in terms of history, culture, economy, politics, society and literature.
